Friends of the Historic Narragansett Towers, Inc. was organized to provide funding and operational support for the continuing restoration and preservation of the Historic Narragansett Towers, a municipal facility owned and operated for the benefit of the public by the Town of Narragansett. The Friends conduct fundraising activities, organize educational programs on the history of Narragansett and The Towers, and host cultural and performing arts programs to raise public awareness and support for preservation and use of The Towers as a living part of the community.
Friends of the Historic Narragansett Towers, Inc. is a membership based organization, incorporated as a Rhode Island non-profit. It is governed by a board of directors elected by the members. An application for designation as a 501(c)(3) has been submitted to the Internal Revenue Service. Primary activities include managing the Towers web site, The Towers Gift Shop, and hosting public activities and events at The Towers. Activities include weekly Wednesday dance lessons, summer live music and dancing concerts, historic weekly summer trolley tours of Narragansett, the annual Taste of The Towers fund raiser, and beginning in the fall of 2016, Mrs. Hanan’s Annual Village Ball.
Become a member of Friends of the Historic Narragansett Towers, Inc. and participate as a volunteer at public events, serve as member of a project committee or board of directors, or lend your support with a financial contribution. Annual membership dues are $35 for individuals.
